MAINTENANCE TECH

Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician position reports to the Maintenance Director and will be responsible for diversified routine and on-call service duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain healthcare and commercial facilities/tenant sites to support the achievement of the site’s service goals. 

Duties
 

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, make adjustments and identify opportunities for facility maintenance improvement

  • Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.)

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)

  • May perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)

  • Reconfigure or install modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, works surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.)

  • Order and/or pick up parts/materials and maintain required documents

  • Complete daily work order and time tracking reports and communicate regularly with the supervisor and on-site practice managers on progress.

  • Help maintain good subcontractor relationships and safe working environment at all times
     

Requirements

​

  • High school diploma required along with acceptable field experience in building and property maintenance

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree a bonus

  • OSHA 10 or 30 a bonus

  • Good carpentry skills along with power equipment safety and use

  • Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment; and must have a comfort for change
