Project Superintendent

About the Role

The Maintenance Service Superintendent will aid in the oversight of service maintenance contracts and small, service-related construction projects. The position will be responsible for effectively planning, managing, and overseeing the process and on-site project activities.

Duties

  • Oversee multiple facility projects to ensure they are completed within the agreed upon scope, budget, and schedule. 

  • Assist the Service Manager with daily duties including gathering information for pricing of new projects and supervision/scheduling of in-house labor assigned to projects and service accounts.    

  • Management of Mercy technicians on a daily basis, ensuring all daily tasks are completed on time and on budget. Follow up to make sure the work exceeds Mercy's standards. 

  • Help foster new technician's skills with CE and Blue folder for the first few weeks they are trained under you, teaching your Techs to be self-sufficient in the field. 

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities on each job and maintain a clean and organized jobsite. 

  • Communicate regularly with the Service Manager, clients, and employees to ensure that project goals, cost, schedule, and quality are achieved. 

  • Ensure before and after photos are taken of projects and service calls. 

  • Oversee all post-project punch list generation and completion. 

  • As needed, self-perform construction and maintenance activities to keep projects on schedule. 

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed expectations and take advantage of career advancement opportunities.  

  • Ability to manage others and work independently in a demanding, fast-paced  environment; and must have a comfort for change. 

  • Strong management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong analytical  and problem-solving skills. 

  • General self-performance skills to complete punch list requirements and misc. scope items throughout the course of the project (drywall patching, door and hardware install, restroom and misc. accessories installation, etc.) 

  • OSHA 30 hour and other safety training a bonus. 

  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
